Sunday's usually suck because I'm either hungover as shit, have an ass load of homework to do, or I feel guilty for not going to church since my baptism. Today was different. Today I woke up at 8 a.m., did all of my homework, and went to church. Unbelievable to say the least. God is great! After mass, I met up with some friends for lunch.
First stop: K-Town. This might become a new tradition every Sunday. Pretty much a straight shot down Kingsley from St. Thomas'.
Getting zinged! Always a lunch spot legend. With it being parents' weekend and the piculiar Jew to Gentile ratio of Ann Arbor, the line was up the wazoo but well worth the wait.
Kerrytown is definitely one of the nicer hoods in Ann Arbor. Weather was extraterrestrial today.
Forgot what was the name of this store, but I have no idea how they're still in business. It smelled like a rug that hadn't been washed in 15 years. A bunch of cool used books, but also some strange things, i.e. broken Star Wars toys.
South U: By far the worst coffee shop in Ann Arbor. A drive through Starbucks Express at most. Filled with undergrads who just want to be seen at a café.
State Street: The poster-child coffee shop of Ann Arbor with its primo location in the middle of everything. There's a nice mix of (mature) adults, grad students, and undergrad students.
Main Street: If you're an undergrad and you go here then you're a prick— nothing more, nothing less. Almost exclusively professors and grad students who are too mainstream for the other million small coffee shops in Ann Arbor.
